Terms of Use for Students and Alumni

  1. The CV and any other personal information you enter in the forms of the AUA Liaison Office contain personal data within the meaning of General Regulation (EU) 2016/679. The correctness, completeness and accuracy of the information in the submitted CV is the sole responsibility of the respective author.
  2. Your data is collected for the purposes of supporting your professional connection and, where applicable, for the assessment of your candidacy for specific job positions or selection processes. Any transmission of CVs to employers takes place only within the framework of the procedures implemented by DG AUA and for the purposes for which the data was submitted.
  3. Sending your CV is at your own risk. By sending your CV, you declare that the information contained therein is accurate and true.
  4. From the moment your CV is selected by an employer for a job position, the latter becomes the controller of your CV and assumes the relevant responsibility, as provided for in the GDPR. Meanwhile, the CV continues to remain in the database of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

CVs are stored for a period of two years from the date of their submission. During this period, you can complete or correct your CV and your registered details, whenever you deem necessary. You have the option to withdraw your CV, whenever you wish, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing of personal data, which has already taken place up to the point of withdrawal of your CV. The processing of your personal data is determined by these terms, by the relevant provisions of the applicable personal data legislation, as well as by the AUA Personal Data Protection Policy.

After the above period of time has elapsed, the CV is deleted or deactivated, unless the user updates it or if there is another legal basis for retention in accordance with applicable legislation and the AUA Personal Data Protection Policy.

The terms of use of the DG are determined by the AUA Personal Data Protection Policy, which provides for your relevant rights.
